Jake has a well-rounded background that allows him to be of assistance in a multitude of legal arenas. While Jake’s primary practice is tailored to civil litigation, he maintains a presence in criminal defense, specializing in criminal appeals, DUI’s, and specialized driving privileges.
Education
Jake earned his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in 2018, with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. After his time in Bloomington, Jake earned his Juris Doctorate from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2021. Upon graduation, Jake was honored with the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence. This recognition is reserved for the students who had worked the most pro-bono hours while in school, with Jake being inside the top 10% of this classification.
Experience
Prior to joining Massillamany Jeter & Carson LLP full time, Jake spent his time working throughout law school. Jake has work experience with Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where he spent two semesters working in their Government Services & Finance department in conjunction with the Indiana state legislature. Jake has worked under the direction of the Honorable Judge Jennifer Harrison in Marion County Superior Court, augmenting his criminal law background. Similarly, Jake worked for the Marion County Prosecutor’s office in his first year of law school.

A resident of Carmel, Jake can be found on a golf course on the weekend or spending time with family and friends.
