The recent decision in the case of former Jeff High School choir director Ja’Shon Burks highlights the serious issue of school sex abuse and the importance of justice for survivors. Burks, convicted of multiple counts of sexual battery and child seduction, has lost his appeal and will serve the remainder of his prison sentence.
