Around noon on Sunday, July 14, 2019, a semi driver crashed into stopped traffic in the eastbound lanes of I-465 near mile marker 33 at Keystone Avenue, causing a fiery blaze that lead to the death of a 29-year-old mother and her two 18-month-old twin daughters, and injuring seven other adults. Bruce Pollard, the driver of the semi, has been arrested as a result of this accident, facing three preliminary counts of reckless homicide and five counts of criminal recklessness causing injury.
Attorney Mario Massillamany is investigating this accident, seeking to uncover all the facts surrounding this accident. Please contact Mario with any information or details describing the accident or the circumstances surrounding it. You can reach him at (317) 432-3443, or at [email protected].
Pollard stated that a white vehicle not involved in the accident cut him off, which caused him to slam on his brakes before crashing into the stopped traffic. However, witness statements indicate that Pollard was driving well over the posted speed limit, and believe that Pollard did not see the stopped traffic before crashing into it. In total, eight vehicles were involved in the crash, and one of the vehicles burst into flames following the accident. As a result of the crash, eastbound lanes of I-465 were not reopened until around 9:30 p.m.
Once again, if you have any information relevant to this accident, please contact Attorney Mario Massillamany to aid in his investigation.
